As part of the PREI Bridges4Health activities, the online capacity-building session “European Funding for Health: Turning Challenges into Innovation with Impact” will take place on 30 October 2026, dedicated to European funding opportunities for health research and innovation.
Horizon Europe offers funding opportunities across the different stages of research and innovation, from the development of new solutions and technologies to their validation, market readiness, and adoption in clinical practice. In this context, the session aims to support participants in identifying and exploring the most relevant funding opportunities for 2027, as well as in engaging in collaborative European research and innovation projects.
Delivered by Mariana Santos from Innovayt, the session will cover the main Horizon Europe funding instruments, how to identify calls that best match participants’ ideas and needs, how to establish strategic partnerships, and the key factors involved in preparing competitive proposals. Through practical examples and expert guidance, participants will have the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of European funding mechanisms and international collaboration opportunities.
The session is aimed at researchers, universities, hospitals, healthcare professionals, research and technology centres, SMEs, start-ups, public authorities and other stakeholders within the health ecosystem interested in developing, testing, commercialising or adopting innovative solutions to address current challenges in the sector.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
